You lived really far away. We didn't speak much, but when we did, they were always conversations I know I would remember. You were the smartest person on earth I knew. You always knew the answers to any question. I remember in 10th grade I needed to interview someone and ask them questions about the cold war, and other events in history. I knew it was a long shot, but I asked you, even though you lived in Arizona. And to my surprise, a week later you showed up on my door step saying "Let's get started, what do you want to know?" You knew the answers to every single question, and I just remember being in awe as we talked for 5 hours about history and what you remember and how you felt during it. I really look up to you. You give me so much motivation to be a better person and to never give up. You left behind a loving family that thinks about you everyday. Not hearing your contagious laugh on Christmas was probably the hardest thing I've ever been though. I keep a picture of you and I on my night stand, and I look at it every night before I go to sleep and I thank God for everything I have. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't even be here. I love you, Grandpa, and I hope heaven's treating you right.
