Dear Mom

I'm sorry that you don't think our family appreciates the things you do. Just know, that I notice when you take out the trash, or buy a different kind of paper towels, or when you do something different with your hair. I am absolutely grateful that you are who you are and that you're in my life. I am so thankful that you work everyday till 5, then come home and cook us dinner. I appreciate when you put my clothes in the dryer for me, and I wouldn't have been able to pass math class without your help. You are the smartest, strongest, most thoughtful person I know. I really look up to you. I'd love to be able to tell my kids that yeah, my mom is my hero. And you are. It may not seem that way because I tend to just stay in my room or go out with friends every day, but you are. I want to be just like you. I want to get good grades to impress you, I want to be as happy as you are. I want to find a husband who I love and I want to have two beautiful children like you do. I want to work my way up to being the boss at a big corporation like you have. Everything you do, you do it for someone else. I just want you to know, that it doesn't have to be that way. I will help you. I will do the dishes, I will cook dinner so you can sit down for an hour after a long day at work. I will put my own clothes in the dryer to make more room for yours. Actually, I'll even fold your laundry, if it'll get a smile out of you. Your happiness is important to me. I love you, Mom, you're my best friend.
