Coming Home

I think the coolest thing in the world is pictures of soldiers coming home and seeing their spouses and children for the first time. The pictures are so real, so raw- you can feel the emotions coming through just by looking at their faces. I cant even imagine how hard it would be to be married to a soldier deployed in Iraq. Not knowing if they're alive and still fighting. Being so worried by so proud at the same time. You feel conflicted, you are so proud of what they stand for and what they're fighting for, but you also feel selfish because you want them back home with you. I give families of soldiers props for staying strong and going on with their day without that person home. I wouldn't be able to go on with my day if one of my parents were deployed in Iraq. That would be by far the hardest thing a person could go through. Reading stories of how the soldiers surprised their spouses and children when they came home, and they run and jump into the soldiers arms and just cry... the pictures are completely beautiful. Nothing beats it.
