A Summer Memory

Last summer I found out some amazing news. My grandma called us all to her house, telling us that theres something we need to know. We pulled up to her house, and went inside it. The look on her face made me realize that it was serious. We all sat down, and that's when she told us that we had an aunt we have never met before.
My grandma had a daughter when she was 17. Back then, it was really looked down upon to have children that young. More-so than now. So, her and my grandpa decided that adoption would be the best idea. My aunt had contacted her earlier that month and my grandmother did not want to keep that from us anymore. They wanted us to meet her.
My aunt's name is Kathy. She lives in South Carolina. She has a husband, Mark, and two children Emma and Jack. Meeting them this summer has been by far my favorite memory. Emma and I are so much alike, and looking at Emma's pictures from when she was a baby, she looked exactly like I did. I thought that was so cool.
Emma and I have the same interests, and we've grown very close since she came to visit. I talk with her everyday on Facebook, and we talk on the phone sometimes. We are planning a trip out to South Carolina for this coming summer.
